When I stop to think

I am living with the eleventh president since I was born. I find it quite funny that the twelfth will also be the most important. Regardless of all of the whys and wherefores , we are at a major turning point in our country's history. What do we do now?
I also find it to be very much like 1968 and a different very unpopular war. It truly doesn't matter who gets into the white house, we have at least ten to fifteen years of direct commitment to troops on the ground in the middle east.
It is also much like 1939 might have been like with the economy in the dumps and dropping every day. The differences are myriad . We are no longer the number one in manufacturing nor do we grow our own food. We depend on third world countries where there are no environmental laws and child labor is the norm.

Truly believing November 22, 1963 to be the day our country started into the final decline, I have seen and many times been involved by locality in some of the more fiery times.
Where are we going now?

Ancestors

What a journey this has been, My Mother is probably chuckling over the things I have learned. Having been taken down many paths I would never have suspected existed, I am proud to say my ancestry goes back at least six generations on both sides of the Family in our country.
I fully understood I would be searching for the spirits of my ancestors. Little did I know how much of a spiritual voyage it would be.

My second Great Grandfather, George, disappeared from NY about 1830. It is at this time that my research opens up an area of great awakening for me.
I find him next in 1839 at Nauvoo, Illinois with the LDS church, formed by Joseph Smith Jr. In NY.
George and his wife Sophia are mentioned in “The History of the Church”.
This has led to an ongoing study of the LDS and their beliefs which in turn is bringing me back to the Lord, in a " John Walton " way
I have chosen to remain a " Jack Mormon" in the true historical sense of the word.

The Spider web

It is winter, the spiders spinning their webs in the rafters.
Soon they will abandon the safety of the house for the great outdoors.
